FASKOT Reaffirms Commitment to Providing Quality Inputs for Farmers

The General Manager of the Katsina State Farmers Supply Company (FASKOT), Alhaji Mustapha Abdu Radda, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting farmers with certified quality seeds and agrochemicals to boost agricultural productivity across Katsina State.

Hikaya Newspaper reports that speaking during an interview with journalists in Katsina, Radda said FASKOT remains focused on promoting agricultural development and improving the livelihoods of farmers through the supply of genuine farming inputs. He noted that the company’s activities align with the agricultural transformation agenda of the Katsina State Government.

According to him, access to certified seeds and approved agrochemicals is essential for achieving food security and economic growth. He explained that FASKOT ensures that all products distributed to farmers undergo proper certification processes to guarantee their quality, safety, and effectiveness.

Radda stated that the use of quality agricultural inputs would help farmers increase crop yields and improve their incomes. He therefore urged farmers across the 34 local government areas of the state to purchase seeds and agrochemicals only from FASKOT outlets and other authorized distribution channels.

He warned farmers against using fake and substandard products, stressing that such inputs could lead to poor harvests and financial losses. He added that protecting farmers from counterfeit agricultural products remains a priority for the company.

The FASKOT boss also called on community leaders and development organizations, especially the Community Development Programme (CDP), to work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure that quality farming inputs reach rural farmers on time, particularly during the planting season.

Radda commended the agricultural policies and interventions of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, describing them as important drivers of growth in the sector. He expressed confidence that with continued government support, effective policies, and the use of quality farming inputs, Katsina State would further strengthen its position as one of Nigeria’s leading agricultural hubs.
