Hundreds of supporters, including men, women, and political associates, welcomed Hon. Abdulhakim Aliyu Sani (Dangaladiman Jibia) in Jibia town, where he officially declared his intention to contest for the Katsina State House of Assembly seat to represent Jibia Local Government in the 2027 elections.
According to Hikaya Newspaper, he was received from the entrance of the town to the APC local government secretariat, where the declaration event was held.
While speaking at the event, Hon. Abdulhakim Aliyu Sani appealed to the APC, fellow politicians, and the people of Jibia to support his ambition. He promised to bring meaningful change by improving the living conditions of the people, promoting education, and creating job opportunities for youths and women. He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting small businesses, improving healthcare services, and ensuring good governance.
While presenting his profile, Hon. Zulkiflu Bawa Bawasa described him as a responsible and qualified individual. He said Abdulhakim has long been supporting the community in different ways, including sponsoring the education of orphans, providing financial support to small-scale traders, and contributing to religious and humanitarian activities. He added that these efforts clearly show his suitability in the eyes of the people.
In his remarks, the APC Chairman of Jibia Local Government, Hon. Nasir Almustapha Danye, described Abdulhakim as the first aspirant to publicly declare his intention. He assured him of the party’s support and emphasized the importance of unity and discipline within the party. He also urged other aspirants to follow proper procedures and maintain peace.
The event, held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the APC secretariat in Jibia, was attended by key political stakeholders, including the Vice Chairman of Jibia Local Government, Hon. Aminu Aliyu, who called on the people to embrace peaceful and responsible politics. Also speaking, Alhaji Kabiru Dan Hizbah urged party members to remain united and support credible candidates for success in the upcoming elections.
After the event, Hon. Abdulhakim Aliyu Sani paid a courtesy visit to the District Head of Jibia, Alhaji Rabe Rabi’u Ibrahim, where he sought prayers and guidance. In his response, the traditional leader advised him to uphold justice, fear God, and prioritize the welfare of the people. Abdulhakim, in turn, reaffirmed his commitment to providing leadership that promotes development, peace, and the well-being of the entire community.
