At the inauguration of Local Government Coordinators and Women Leaders of the Gwagware Zallah group in Daura Zone, Katsina State, the National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barrister Murtala Aliyu Kankia, declared that their primary focus is to further elevate the achievements of Governor Dikko Umar Radda and ensure his return for a second term in 2027.
Kankia emphasized that within just three years in office, Governor Radda has made remarkable progress in improving security, promoting small-scale industries, supporting agriculture through early distribution of fertilizer at reduced costs from ₦60,000 to ₦20,000, and strengthening traditional institutions.
Hikaya Newspaper reports that he also restored the cultural value of the Sallah Durbar and conducted local government elections in the state.
According to Kankia, Governor Radda has also engaged youths in governance and representation, completed the Rimi wind-power electricity project, spearheaded major road construction works, expanded solar power installations across Katsina, and improved access to clean water in urban and rural areas. He further introduced a state security outfit, launched a community engagement system for budget planning, and expanded scholarship opportunities for children of the poor to study abroad.
“After God’s exercise, it is Governor Dikko Radda’s work,” Kankia said, stressing that the achievements recorded in just three years prove the governor’s worthiness to continue in office. He added that what was highlighted at the gathering was “only a fraction of the accomplishments that make Governor Radda deserving of the people’s support in 2027.”
