JIBWIS Condoles Malumfashi Residents Over Bandits’ Attack

The Chairman of Jama’atu Izalatil Bidi’a Wa Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) in Katsina State, Sheikh (Dr.) Yakubu Musa Hassan Katsina, popularly known as Sautus-Sunnah, has extended condolences and sympathy to the people of Malumfashi Local Government Area following the bandits’ attack on Mantau community last Monday, which claimed several lives and left others injured.

In a statement issued on Friday, August 22, 2025, by the Director of the JIBWIS Social Media Committee in Katsina, Yusuf Hassan Buhari, Sheikh Yakubu Musa prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives, forgiveness of their shortcomings, and comfort for their families and relatives. He also prayed for quick recovery for those injured in the attack.

The cleric urged the Katsina State Government to intensify efforts in addressing the security challenges troubling parts of the state. He noted that the situation has created fear and anxiety among residents, citing the acting governor’s appeal to the president and his meeting with the Chief of Army Staff in Abuja to seek stronger security measures for the state.

Sheikh Yakubu further called on scholars and clerics to continually include prayers against insecurity in their acts of worship, while urging the wider community to contribute through prayers and voluntary efforts to protect their neighborhoods. Finally, he prayed for peace, stability, and harmony in Katsina State and across the country.
